We've been talking about going to the Fort Worth Zoo for ages, and since the weather is so nice, we decided to make a day of it. After Travis took Grace to swimming lessons this morning (I stayed home with Ella because she has a fever), we packed up and headed west. After a stop for BBQ at the Railhead, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in one of the prettiest zoos I've ever seen. First stop- the flamingos, of course, because they're pink.
Next up, the gorillas. Grace liked these, but only from a distance. You can go inside the building and see them up close. We won't do that again. Ever.

And here's what Ella did most of the time. Poor baby. She didn't feel well, but didn't fuss much. We're glad she's able to sleep even when there's commotion.
