First Haircuts Day

Yesterday was First Haircut Day for the Spillman babies, minus Grace. She got one, also, but she's been doing this for two years. It was Ella and Sutton's first time, and it was definitely a day to remember. Grace, being the pro, went first and set a great example for her sister and brother.
On the way there, Travis and I attempted to pump Ella up by telling her what a big girl she was for getting her hair cut. She didn't buy it, and her reply was, "No, I not getting a hair cut. I no want one!" Once she saw Grace, however, she changed her tune and was an angel in the chair. I don't think the lollipop motivated her one bit (ha, ha). Afterward, she kept telling us, "Look my haircut. I look so pretty!"
The positive pace took a turn for the worse as soon as Sutton got into the chair, or really as soon as Travis got into the chair and tried to keep Sutton still on his lap. To say he threw a fit is an understatement. For the entire time (what seemed like an hour), Sutton screamed, yelled, drooled, thrashed and gasped for air. It was awful. I seriously don't know how the sweet stylist was able to do her job without slicing his head open. She was incredibly patient and assured us that it will be easier next time. We're not really looking forward to it, but it's amazing what a difference a haircut made. Sutton didn't cheer up until he got his own lollipop in the car. Next time, I'm not opposed to giving him the lollipop during the haircut if it will make things easier.
