Saturday was party day for the Spillmans! We started Saturday morning with an Easter party and egg hunt hosted by Bubba's company. This was Ella's first experience with the Easter bunny, and unlike her sister, she wasn't a bit afraid.
Both girls enjoyed the bounce house, but especially Ella. It was just her size and oh so much fun!
Grace LOVED the sack race. She was the youngest participant, so we were proud of her for trying and actually finishing. She was pretty proud of herself, too, because although she didn't come in first, she told us that night that she'd won :)
Ella's first egg hunt consisted mostly of her running around with someone following behind her. You could tell she enjoyed getting to roam around freely.
Grace was super excited about finding so many eggs. She found lots of candy and even some money! Watching kids hunt eggs can tell you so much about their personalities. Ella has her own agenda. She does not follow the crowd, but makes her own path. She's more interested in the adventure and doesn't care much about the prize. Grace gets very excited to be a part of the group. She likes to be first, but after finding a couple of eggs, she then decides she's had enough. She's happy with what she has.
After a quick lunch, we then headed to Lucas to celebrate our cousin Addisyn's first birthday! It was wonderful to see our family and watch this precious baby turn one. It took Addisyn a little while to get the hang of digging into her cake. Ella, on the other hand, quickly spotted it and asked Aunt Becca for her own, "Cake!"
